With a reputation for integrity and excellence, Pathology Consultants of Central Virginia continues its over 35-year tradition of providing unequaled expertise and service to the doctors and patients of our area.

We believe in a cohesive approach which results from close collaboration.  By arranging our workflow so that cases may be shared easily, our diagnoses become the product of multiple pathologists’ insight and expertise.  This approach helps assure the greatest possible accuracy.

The highly motivated, well-trained employees at Pathology Consultants of Central Virginia treat every specimen as if it belongs to a family member. Our cytology lab is staffed by degreed technologists with specialized training.  Unlike other labs, where laboratory personnel may be paid by the number of slides read or tests performed, our technologists are rewarded for the quality rather than the quantity of their work.  We remain proud of our commitment to appropriate diagnostic testing and do not believe in over-utilization of testing services, relying on medical evidence as the only justification of necessity.  Our office is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists and all our pathologists are Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
