Dr. Foster specializes in breast pathology and cytopathology and has an interest in hepatopathology and neuropathology. He studied under Dr. David Page at Vanderbilt University and Dr. William J. Frable, who was instrumental in the development of the modern day discipline of fine needle aspiration cytology. He is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology and is a Fellow in the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and the College of American Pathology.
Dr. Foster is originally from Chapel Hill, NC and has lived here in Lynchburg with his wife and three children since 2001. He enjoys cooking and gardening and has served as both an elder and deacon at First Presbyterian Church, in addition to leading an adult Sunday School class.
